Local Bards

For a community to celebrate and express its joys and sorrows, it needs its Local Bards. The people who are drawn to write poetry, songs, play music and perform are natural bards. By giving these people recognition and invitation we may draw the best out of them.

Their skills will be of particular value for the Seasonal Celebrations, personal celebrations, celebrations of local successes and mourning of community losses or difficulties.

There can be a body of these with perhaps a rotating Bard of the Year for more specific service.
